Palms 8, Royals 0
Zack Greinke and Troy Munoz had an excellent pitching matchup through 4 innings in this one. With the bases loaded and nobody out in the 5th inning, Troy Tulowitzki grounded to Yuniesky Betancourt who, instead of going for the double play, came home to Miguel Olivo who prevented the run from scoring in earned a collision at the plate with Breck Smythe. It was all for naught, however, as Frank Sohn drove in two runs with a double in the next at bat. Tulowitzki would later drive in three of his own, including a two run homer in the 8th. Curiously, the last two hitters, Coco Crisp and Ryan Henning, scored 5 of the Palms' 8 runs.
