Baseball remains impossible to predict. After a belabored and maligned homestand to start the season, the Palms went on a road trip, finished it .500 despite series against the Astros and Dodgers, and swept LA at Chavez Ravine. The last game in the trip to Los Angeles was a pitchers duel between Clayton Kershaw and Manny Parra. Parra won it, thanks to Miami's smooth hitting in the 2nd inning. Wellington Castillo hit a solo home run, which would ultimately be enough for the win, but Yairo Munoz added a two run shot to give Miami some breathing room.
