Palms 5, Nationals 2

The Nationals jumped out to a two run lead thanks to an Anthony Rendon double, but from that point forward, Dylan Bundy was in control, and his bullpen followed suit. The Palms scored 4 of their runs on home runs from Chris Korb, a two run shot from Edwin Encarnacion and even a pinch hit home run from Jaspero Gonzalez.   Miami Palms 5, Washington Nationals 2  Friday, September 28, 2018      Miami Palms (94-66)                                      Washington Nationals (1-2)                                Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A  E LOB ...

Red Sox 6, Palms 3

It was likely the last appearance at Palms Park for many Palms players, and it didn't end as most would have hoped. Tony Abreu went 2 for 5 with an RBI, while Carlos Ruiz had double. Manny Parra got the loss in a 6 inning outing in which he gave up 4 runs. Mookie Betts led the game off with a home run, and Boston never trailed. The Palms will finish their season in Washington.  Boston Red Sox 6, Miami Palms 3  Thursday, September 27, 2018      Boston Red Sox (7-8)                                     Miami Palms (93-66)                                      Player      ...

Red Sox 2, Palms 1

It took a dominant pitching performance from Chris Sale and a two run home run from Brandon Phillips to finally upend the Palms long winning streak. Miami left too many runners stranded to really feel as they should have won this game, and will hope their bats wake up for the home finale on Thursday.   Boston Red Sox 2, Miami Palms 1  Wednesday, September 26, 2018      Boston Red Sox (6-8)                                     Miami Palms (93-66)                                      Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A  E LOB...

Palms 5, Red Sox 1

The Palms concerted push for the final postseason spot continued, as they won their 10th in a row, defeating Boston at home. The Palms got a solid outing from Blake Johnston, who worked 7 innings with 7 strikeouts while allowing only 5 hits and 1 run. His battery mate was the other star, coming through twice with runners on, driving 2 in with a single in the 3rd, and another 2 in the 7th with a triple. It will still take some serious work and perhaps winning out, but the door hasn't closed yet, and the Palms have their ace going on Wednesday.   Miami Palms 5, Boston Red Sox 1  Tuesday, September 25, 2018      Boston Red Sox (5-8)                                     Miami Palms (93-65)               ...

Eovaldi worked 7 innings, but allowed a run after a Travis Jankowski triple, while Eduardo Rodriguez allowed the lead to expand when Frank Sohn led off the 8th with a solo home run. This is Miami's 7th win in a row.   Miami Palms 2, Boston Red Sox 0  Monday, September 24, 2018      Boston Red Sox (5-7)                                     Miami Palms (92-65)                                      Player     ...

The Palms scored early and often, stringing together 8 hits and 5 runs to seize early control. Palms 15. Tigers 4

The Palms managed to hit 3 three run home runs off of the Tigers pitching staff on Saturday. Frank Sohn and Tony Abreu hit theirs in the same 3rd inning, as Miami scored 10 runs. Chris Korb would add another as the Palms continued to salt the game away. Manny Parra put in a lot of work to collect the complete game victory.  Miami Palms 15, Detroit Tigers 4  Saturday, September 22, 2018      Miami Palms (90-65)                                      Detroit Tigers (1-6)                                     Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A...
