Blue Jays 3, Palms 2 (10 Innings)

The bottom of the order came through for Miami, with Frank Sohn collecting an RBI triple, and Travis Jankowski tying the game in the 7th with a solo home run. Unfortunately, Miami struggled to scrabble together much else. The Blue Jays were threatening throughout most of the game, but only scratched across a couple of runs despite their 15 hits. It was Braden Shipley's 10th inning control issues that opened the door for the Blue Jays to finally come through and win the game, as well as the series.   Toronto Blue Jays 3, Miami Palms 2  Thursday, August 1, 2019      Toronto Blue Jays (6-3)                                  Miami Palms (55-56)                                       Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A  E LOB...

Palms 3, Blue Jays 2

Miami took care of business in their second game at home against Toronto. They scattered their three runs over three innings, though there was a thread that connected them all. Edwin Encarnacion advanced the runner to third in the first, had the RBI in the 6th and scored the go ahead run in the 8th. Blake Johnston had a solid outing, slipping up on a 2 run double from Reese McGuire in the 3rd, but otherwise fighting through any adversity.  Miami Palms 3, Toronto Blue Jays 2  Wednesday, July 31, 2019      Toronto Blue Jays (5-3)                                  Miami Palms (55-55)                                       Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A  E LOB   Ave      Player       ...

Blue Jays 6, Palms 5 (10 innings)

Miami can be lauded for their comeback efforts, certainly, as they were down by 4 in the bottom of the 7th, thanks in large part to a 3 run homer by Danny Jansen. They were led first by a 2 run shot from Frank Sohn, followed by an RBI single from Yasmani Grandal in the 8th and a RBI single from Pat Grant in the 9th to tie it. Cavan Biggio hit the go ahead homer in the 10th, however, and the Palms couldn't muster any more magic, dropping the last series opener before the trade deadline.  Toronto Blue Jays 6, Miami Palms 5  Tuesday, July 30, 2019      Toronto Blue Jays (5-2)                                  Miami Palms (54-55)                                       Player          AB R  H BI BB SO  P  A  E LOB   Ave  ...
