Yankees 7, Palms 6

The Palms had the lead through most of this game, however in the 8th inning, the Yankees took a 6-5 lead after Javier Vazquez loaded the bases and Don Schoppe allowed all of his inherited runners to score. The Palms came back and scored a run on a Frank Sohn RBI single, however it was for naught as the first 4 batters for the Yankees reached in the bottom of the 9th, meaning a walk off winner off the bat of rookie Kevin Russo. Adding insult to injury, Eddie Black saw his 14 game hitting streak come to an end with an abysmal 0-5 outing with 3 strikeouts
