Blue Jays 7, Palms 6

After a brilliant pitching outing for both pitchers in the series finale against the White Sox, things were a little more offense oriented in the series opener against the Blue Jays and Roy Halladay. The Blue Jays jumped over Javier Vasquez for 3 runs in the first and one more in the 5th. The Blue Jays scored the winning 3 runs in a sloppy 6th inning off of Blake Johnston to go ahead 7-4. Coco Crisp drove in 5 of the Palms 6 runs thanks to a 2 run triple in the 2nd and a two run homer in the 9th to bring the game to within 1. It was not enough, however, and the Jays took the first game of the series.
