Twins 4, Palms 3

The Palms power surge was shortlived, as they managed only 5 hits against Scott Baker and the rest of the Twins pitching staff. Denard Span and Joe Mauer had good games for the Twins, with Span hitting a two run blast in the 6th off of Art McLoughlin, and Mauer going 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles. It was 4-1 late in the game, when Frank Sohn, continuing his hot start, hit a two run homer. It was not enough, however, as the Twins took the second game of the series.
