Angels 3, Palms 2 (12 innings)

Opening day! It was a thriller in Anaheim to open the sseason, as both Joe Saunders and Troy Munoz pitched a shut out through 9 innings, with relievers pitching two more scoreless innings. The first two extra frames were also scoreless. Then, in the top of the twelfth, Eddie Black hit a lead off double, which was followed by a two run homer from Frank Sohn. Closer Buddy Carlyle came in then, but struggled mightily. With 1 run in already and a runner aboard, Howie Kendrick hit a two run homer to win it for the Angels in thrilling fashion. Hopefully, the season won't be this tense, and the Palms offense can have a little more life from here on out.
