Mariners 2, Palms 1 (12 innings)
In a pitchers duel reminiscent of their opening day game with the Angels, the Mariners managed to score the deciding run off of Blake Johnston in the 12th. Johnston is allowing opponents to hit .441 off him so far this season. Troy Munoz' brilliant 8 inning 10 strikeout component was wasted as once again, the Palms were incapable of putting runs on the board. The Mariners successfully swept the Palms, who will play cross state rivals Tampa Bay today.
