The Yankees contrasting offense
The Yankees and Palms have some of the best offenses in the American League, but they certainly go about their business in a different manner. The Yankees continue to add aging veteransm having recently acquired Lance Berkman and Austin Kearns at the trade deadline. They rely almost exclusively on power.
The Palms on the other hand are a much faster lineup. They also rely on getting a lot of runners on base, poised to have one of, if not THE highest batting average for a team in the modern era, thanks to 6 of the regular starters batting over .300. Both sides score a lot of runs because of it, but the Yankees, proving that pitching wins championships, are poised to enter the postseason while the Palms are 12 games out.
