Palms 3, Royals 2

The Palms and Royals played a low scoring game in their first match up of a four game weekend set in Miami. It wasn't exactly a pitchers duel: there were a total of 18 men left on base between the two teams. The Royals jumped out to a 2-0 lead after a sloppy first inning of work from Troy Munoz. The Palms gained their lead after three mostly manufactured runs; a bases loaded walk in the 1st, a sacrifice fly in the 4th and a an RBI single immediately following that hit. The bullpen shut Kansas City down then, as Blake Johnston and Buddy Carlyle only allowed 1 hit over three innings.
