Palms 3, Blue Jays 2 (18 Innings)

For the third game in a row, the Palms beat the Blue Jays 3-2. This game was a little more dramatic than the previous iterations. It was 0-0 with 2 outs in the top of the 9th in a duel between Rickey Romero and Javier Vazquez, when Vernon Wells hit a solo homer to put the Blue Jays ahead. The Palms were down to their final out when Randy Winn singled and Jaspero Gonzalez tripled to tie the game. The Jays almost ended it in the 15th, scoring a run after quickly loading the bases then getting a sacrifice fly from Edwin Encarnacion. Fred Lewis hit into a double play, ending the inning 2-1. Frank Sohn then led off the bottom half of the 15th with a home run. The Palms almost won it in the 17th when Winn was at third base before Eddie Black was retired. They finally strung together some hits, when Coco Crisp and Billy Dupont led off with singles, and Ayoz Sadan bounced one over the fence for the game winning RBI double after two total games worth of baseball. Naturally, this only happened after Felix Gonsales was finally brought in to win it.
