Mariners 2, Palms 0

Javier Vazquez was a decidedly hard luck loser Sunday afternoon. On a team that has routinely scored 5-8 runs, he held his opponents to only 2 runs with Josh Wilson’s 7th inning homer accounting for the only two runs the Mariners scored. He scattered 5 hits and struck out 7. Unfortunately, Jason Vargas dominated the Palms. He scattered 7 hits, with the Palms mounting only one threat in the 7th when the bases were loaded but remained unemptied.
