Palms 9, Yankees 8
The Yankees knocked Troy Munoz out early thanks to a pair of home runs, including a 3 run blast from Lyle Overbay and a two run shot by Ichiro. The Palms worked their way back, batting around in the 4th inning, with a 2 run double by Frank Sohn capping things off and giving the Palms a 6-5 lead. Then, it was the Yankees' turn to come back scoring in the top of the 6th and 7th. The Palms tied it in the 7th, and gave it back in the top of the 8th. Then, with 2 outs in the bottom half of the 8th, Steve Drysdale put Miami ahead for good, with a 2 run homer. Manny Parra finally got the Palms the victory in a game that seemingly didn't want to end. A curious aside, Billy Dupont came into the game with 1 triple on the season and ended up with 2 more in back to back at bats. Tony Abreu added another immediately following Dupont's second triple.
