Palms 7, Angels 3
The Palms and Angels had a tight affair through most of the game, but Miami had a 3-1 lead going into the bottom of the 8th. Ivan Fernandez came into the game in relief of Don Schoppe, but immediately allowed a walk, single and game tying double from Josh Hamilton. In the top of the 9th, the Palms came back. With the bases loaded and 1 out, Brett Hayes hit the go ahead 2 run single. 3 batters later, Steve Drysdale drove in two more, meaning Fernandez got the win despite blowing a save.
