Red Sox 3, Palms 2

It was a pitchers duel to start the season between Boston's Josh Beckett and Troy Munoz. The Red Sox, Mike Lowell and Dustin Pedroia in particular, got to Munoz in the form of a pair of solo homeruns in the 3rd and 6th innings. Lowell scored again on a sacrifice by Jacoby Ellsbury in the 7th to put the the Sox ahead by 3. The Palms didn't get their first runs of the season until a 2 run rally in the 9th. They play again tomorrow
