Palms 5, Mariners 1

The Palms needed a game just like this one. Dallas Chastanet pitched 8 strong innings, allowing only 5 hits (3 of them to Ken Griffey Jr.). The Palms weren't masterful at the plate, but one solid inning, the third against a fairly green Chris Jakublauskas led to all 5 runs. After walking in a run, Jakublauskas met Ayoz Sadan with the bases loaded, and Sadan came through, hitting a grand slam to center field, his second home run of the season. Don Schoppe pitched a scoreless 9th to cap off a very well played game.
