Mariners 10, Palms 6
The bullpen continues to be atrocious despite a day off and a return to Miami. Dave Balierough was effective enough for 5 innings, and Blake Johnston followed with another passable inning before things fell apart. Going into the 7th, the Palms actually maintained a 6-3 lead thanks to Frank Sohn's 2nd home run of the season, but Johnston gave up a three run bomb to Mike Sweeney before he was eventually pulled. Art McLoughlin had another bad outing in the 9th, letting in 3 more runs, thanks to a pair of Mariners homers. The Palms pitching staff presently has the second highest batting average against thus far in the season.
