Palms 15, Yankees 2

Things couldn't have gotten off to much better a start for the 2016 season. Never mind that the team had a solid start from Manny Parra, who went 8 innings while scattering 7 hits and allowing 2 runs, their offense exploded. Thanks to a bout of ill timed flu, Chris Korb, Coco Crisp and Johnny Giavotella couldn't make their regularly scheduled debut. It didn't much matter. The Palms hit 6 home runs, including one from replacement Kelly Johnson, and another from Gregor Blanco, who had no homers in 2015. The real story, though, was that new addition Edwin Encarnacion started his Palms career with a home run. His second at bat as also a home run. He added a third later for good measure. If things continue like this, the Palms have nothing to fear this season!
