Palms 10, Twins 5
The Twins have had one of the worst rotations in baseball for the last few years. Still, until today, Phil Hughes has been very good for them. Make no doubt about it, chasing Hughes after 4 innings was quite the feat. Of course, the fact that Lucas Harrell was chased before 4 innigns could be completed was decidedly problematic.The bullpen and offense picked him up, however, pitching 5 1/3 innings of scoreless ball and adding 6 more runs. The ends of the lineup were the motivation to the run scoring, as Brett Hayes and Tony Abreu at the bottom of the lineup and Chris Korb at the top all hit home runs. Abreu was a triple away from the cycle.
