Palms 9, Astros 6

The Palms faced their newest AL rival on Friday night for the first time as members of the same league. The Palms got to Jordan Lyles fairly early and ended up wasting a good start from Blake Johnston in which he struck out 6 in 6 innings, allowing only 3 hits. Dennis Sarfate struggled through the 8th inning, in which the Astros scored 3 runs to take a 6-4 lead, going ahead on a 2 run single by JD Martinez. The Palms scored a run and still had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the 8th when Frank Sohn came up to the plate. He hit a grand slam off of Hector Ambriz to put the Palms ahead for good and somehow give Sarfate the win over the franchise that drafted him.
