Starting Pitcher: Javier Vazquez
Javier Vazquez was the best pitcher last year thanks to his high strikeout rate, and played his way to an opening day start this year. He was also gifted some good offense. His ERA was nearly the same as Troy Munoz, however Vazquez ended up with a 17-6 record while Munoz only went 10-11. So far through the first month of the season, Vazquez' hasn't lived up to his ace billing, and his 0-3 record shows that his luck may have run out.
