Royals 7, Palms 5 (11 innings)

There was a lot going on in this game. The Palms jumped out to a 4 run lead and looked to have all the momentum on their side, but to get there, Jaspero Gonzalez blasted a mammoth home run to left field, which rankled starting pitcher Jason Hammel. After throwing behind Edwin Encarnacion, the next batter, Hammel connected, and the benches cleared into a long lasting melee that seemed to have changed momentum. For the Palms, Encarnacion was ejected, as was Brock Holt who came screaming into the fracas from the dugout. Travis Jankowski was also tossed, though it appeared he was hit in the legs and fell onto the scuffle late. Losing their center fielder, DH and backup outfielder took the wind out of Miami's sails, but also invigorated Kansas City. They were down 5-1 entering the 8th, and scored two, including a bases loaded walk off of Keith Harding, his first walk of the season. Then, Hunter Dozier tied it in the 9th with a 2 run blast off of Brian Matusz. Dozier struck again in the 11th off of Wandy Peralta, giving Miami perhaps the most devastating loss of the season.
