Angels 1, Palms 0

Pitchers Tyler Chatwood and Javier Vazquez dominated this one, and relievers Art McLoughlin and Hisinori Takahashi locked down their opponents as well. With two outs in the bottom of the 9th, in truly dramatic fashion, catcher Hank Conger drove in the game's only run with a solo homer of Don Schoppe. It was an ugly way for the Palms to lose, but the pitching outing was surely appreciated.
