Palms feature an even distribution of power

Right now, there are two players with 20 home runs on the season, Billy Dupont and John Jaso, who are also hitting about .300. Jaso has been doing a better job of getting on base, but otherwise, they have had very similar seasons. Lower in the lineup, but with lower batting averages, there are 5 other players with double digit home run totals, including Kelly Johnson, Coco Crisp, Frank Sohn, Chris Korb and Tony Abreu, who is in third place on the team with 18.
Frank Sohn seems to be having a rough year with his power, slugging only 14 after a few seasons of 30 big blasts, but he has been gettig the extra bases, leading the team in doubles, with 31.

Verdugo, Red Sox Pummel Palms in Series Opener

Alex Verdugo went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, and the Red Sox racked up 16 hits en route to a 7-1 win over the Miami Palms at Coca-Cola Palms Park. The loss snapped Miami’s four-game win streak and featured a forgettable debut for newly called-up reliever Allan Persons, who gave up three runs on five hits in a single inning of work. Boston wasted no time, tagging Palms starter Blake Johnston for three runs in the opening frame, thanks to a pair of RBI hits from Xander Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland. Johnston lasted just three innings, surrendering four earned runs, and took his second loss of the season.
