While the scoreline suggests a pitchers duel, it was really a game of missed opportunities for Los Angeles. They only managed to score three runs despite 16 hits, while Clayton Kershaw was dominant over 7 innings, in which he allowed only 1 hit. He had control issues, however, issuing 6 bases on balls and 1 hit batter. Still, it was evident that Kershaw was the better pitcher in this outing, and Los Angeles got the deserved win, ending a 4 game streak.
