Palms win streak too little too late

Miami is in the midst of their longest winning streak of the season. Unfortunately, at this point they are already eliminated from playoff contention. With a record of 5 games over .500 and with 15 games to go, this is a credit to how strong the top of the league is, more than a critique of the Palms.

The strong end of the season will give Miami a runway from which to take off in 2020. In particular, Frank Sohn, Chris Korb and Pat Grant are having solid September starts and hope to carry that into the offseason. In particular, Korb has found his power stroke, clubbing 4 home runs in the first 10 days, while Grant and Sohn have monthly averages well over .300.
