Palms will get only one all star
While the All Star game is still more than a week away, it appears as though the all star lineups are set, and Miami, probably deservedly, will only be represented by one player, pitcher Manny Parra. Some players, like Yairo Munoz or Nick Markakis are having excellent years, and Yasmani Grandal could certainly make a case for making it as a catcher, but Grandal is limited by a strong catching crop in the American League. A major part of the issue, of course, is the team’s lack of success. They will tinker with the lineup starting on Monday in Boston, in the hopes of finding some kind of a spark
