Grant jerseys the team's best selling

Nearly halfway through the season, the Palms have announced that it is Pat Grant's #41 that is the team's top seller. Jaspero Gonzalez's #17 and Frank Sohns' #25 are 2 and 3, while Manny Parra's 43 and curiously Carlos Ruiz's #51 round out the top 5.
The top 3 on the list all represent players that are home grown talent, suggesting that the long term familiarity with players is appreciated, but also an important factor is player achievement, with Parra and Ruiz both having good seasons to date.

Verdugo, Red Sox Pummel Palms in Series Opener

Alex Verdugo went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, and the Red Sox racked up 16 hits en route to a 7-1 win over the Miami Palms at Coca-Cola Palms Park. The loss snapped Miami’s four-game win streak and featured a forgettable debut for newly called-up reliever Allan Persons, who gave up three runs on five hits in a single inning of work. Boston wasted no time, tagging Palms starter Blake Johnston for three runs in the opening frame, thanks to a pair of RBI hits from Xander Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland.
