Palms send 5 to San Diego for the All Star Game
The Palms have been resurgent of late, but many have been keeping an eye on them all season. The Palms are sending five players to the All-Star Game, an impressive total for any team. The players are designated hitter John Jaso, who has been hitting around .320 with 16 home runs, short stop Tony Abreu, who is sporting an average above .300 along with 17 dingers of his own. Surprisingly, Edwin Encarnacion's 21 homers were left out, but three pitchers made the game. TJ McFarland is making his first All Star Appearance, as is reliever Lucas Harrell. Jarod Lantz, a rookie, has sported a sub 3.00 ERA and is being kicked around as a potential starter.
